LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jan. 22, 2008–The American Youth Soccer Organization and Herbalife Ltd. The agreement also includes Herbalife’s presence on the AYSO Web site, signage at games, an on-site presence at national and sectional events, and a nutrition column in Play Soccer, AYSO’s online publication.

“With child obesity on the rise, it is imperative to educate children and their parents about proper nutrition and how to have a healthy, active lifestyle,” said Herbalife Chairman and CEO Michael O. “It’s a natural fit as our two organizations are engaged in improving the health of today’s youth,” said AYSO National President Mike Wade. The AYSO National Board of Directors unanimously approved the agreement. “We’re excited about our partnership with Herbalife and the role we’ll play together to reach out to kids and help educate them and their parents about the importance of healthy choices.”

Today, the organization has more than 80,000 teams, in 1100 regions serving approximately one million kids located across the U.S. Its activities are based upon its five philosophies: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, and Good Sportsmanship.

According to the United States Department of Health & Human Services, “Childhood obesity has nearly tripled for adolescents in the past two decades The U.S. government agency points to lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating patterns or a combination of the two as the leading factors in the rise of these frightening statistics.

In July 2006, Herbalife announced the launch of the Herbalife Kids(TM) line of nutrition products that includes shakes and multivitamins with protein, fiber, and 100 percent of key nutrients kids need daily.

Most Popular Keywords - What do people search for online

So many times, I sit here at my computer wondering just what it is that someone is searching for when they are searching for information on a legitamate home based business where they can either get free information without obligation or they can download free ebooks or just get mlm training.  Someone I just sponsored on my team told me he entered the terms “top mlm companies” and that’s how he found me.  Today, I had someone land on my page that typed in “free work at home ebooks”.  I’ve had people come by with the search terms “make money online” or “how to make money online” as well.  So today, I decided to type into the search engine once again “what do people search for online” and today I ran across this informative article.

What People Search For - Most Popular Keywords

Millions of searches are conducted each day on popular search engines by people all around the world. What are they looking for? A number of major search engines provide a way to glimpse into the web’s query stream to discover the most popular search keywords or topics. These are:

  • AOL Hot Searches: Top current queries, or see those in the last hour, last day and within particular categories.

  • Ask IQ: See top searches at Ask.

  • Dogpile SearchSpy: Choose to see either a filtered or non-filtered sample of top, real-time search terms from this popular meta search service. Sister site MetaCrawler offers a similar MetaCrawler MetaSpy service.

  • Google Trends: Allows you to tap into Google’s database of searches, to determine what’s popular. View the volume of queries over time, by city, regions, languages and so on. Compare multiple terms, as well. See our review: Google Trends: Peer Into Google’s Database Of Searches.

  • Google Zeitgeist: What people are searching for at Google and its associated specialty services in a variety of categories. There are versions for various countries, as well.

  • Lycos 50: Long-standing service showing top searches at Lycos each week.

  • MSN Search Insider: (as of this posting, this link has been closed down and I can’t find an update for it) Top 200 queries on MSN Search (annoyingly in random order), top “movers” in TV, sports and music, and a “duels” feature pitting top queries in a race against each other.

  • Yahoo Buzz Index: Shows you what’s hot and what’s not in terms of search topics at Yahoo.

Also see:

  • dWoz Search Phrase Lists: Great directory of services like those above, for search engines large and small, across the web. Also see the Search Spies & Voyuers category.

  • Google AdWords Keyword Tool: Enter a term or terms, the use the drop-down box to see the popularity of terms and popularity over time.

  • Yahoo Keyword Selector Tool: Formerly called the Overture Keyword Selector Tool and the Overture Search Term Suggestion Tool before that, this free service is primarily designed to help advertisers who wish to select terms to target with ads on the Yahoo network. But you can use it to see how popular particular terms are.

  • Researching Keywords: For Search Engine Watch members, this provides an annotated rundown on key tools useful for search marketers needing to perform search research for their campaigns.

    LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jan. 15, 2008–Herbalife Ltd.
(NYSE:HLF), a global nutrition and direct selling company, was named one of the 15 fittest companies in America by Men’s Fitness magazine. Men’s Fitness selected these companies based on access to state-of-the-art gym and fitness facilities, cafeterias with health-and nutrition-minded menus, preventative medical care, and programs for losing weight and quitting smoking, and rewards for staying in shape.

“We are a company that ‘walks the talk,’ said Michael O. Johnson, Herbalife’s chairman and CEO. “We’re extremely proud of our employees’ efforts in changing their lives and we will continue to do our best to support healthy, active lifestyles.”
Among the many components of the company’s Wellness for Life program are two weight loss challenges held every year - “Maintain, Don’t Gain” during the holiday season and “Summer Shape-Up.” The challenges include weigh-ins, weekly tips and handouts, and support sessions.

Herbalife also sponsors monthly educational seminars with nutrition and fitness experts on topics such as healthy snacking, and encourages employees to participate in the company’s basketball and tennis leagues. Similarly, Herbalife sponsors around eight triathlons
nationwide (among 120 other sports and fitness-related events), and provides professional trainers, team clothing and peer support for employees who participate.

“The old me felt run-down, stressed out and tired,” says Paul Funk, a senior systems business analyst. “The new me joined the ‘Maintain, Don’t Gain’ challenge and lost 5.5 pounds. I now ride my bike to work three days a week - six miles each way - and every week feel stronger and more energetic. The Wellness Challenge changed my life for the better.”

Employees based in Herbalife’s Torrance, Calif. facility have access to the Team Herbalife Fitness Center, a state-of-the-art gym facility where employees can participate in lunchtime power walks, abs classes, or general workouts with trainers. The facilities also include a cafe with a healthy menu and subsidized prices.

Finally, Herbalife gives its employees complimentary access to its array of protein shakes, energy drinks, and nutritional supplements.

Employee achievements and success stories are regularly shared at company meetings as well as in Herbalife’s quarterly employee magazine, fostering an environment of support and motivation.
